The Invisible Accessory Project

Courtesy of the Artist Loft is hosting Scentsmith, Ainslie Walker to delve into the world of perfumery. Sharpen your senses and enjoy the beauty of creating your own signature scent.

Come and discover the world of perfume and the secrets of the perfumer during this fantastic practical experience focused on the composition and personalisation of your own Eau de Parfum.

The three hour workshop covers the history of perfumery, an introduction to raw materials, traditional perfume structure, olfactory memory development plus more.

During the class, you will take part in creating a bespoke perfumers’ organ and you will design your own unique Eau de Parfum to take home. After the workshop, you have the chance to reorder your creation as a refill or for gifts for family and friends!

Ainslie Walker has built her reputation as an award winning international fragrance journalist, scent designer, artist, spa consultant and product developer.

Originally a naturopath, Ainslie lived abroad for 16 years working in spa and skincare development. She went on to study perfumery internationally in Grasse, London, Bangkok and Australia. She continues to travel to interview perfumers and brands and attends courses regularly.

Ainslie now works with brands and individuals to create bespoke scent branding and signature fragrances for interior designers, spa’s, weddings and skincare brands along with various olfactory art projects. She is sought after for her fragrance knowledge and writing both in Australia and internationally.

We are excited to announce that over the next few months we will be working with Ainslie on developing a signature Courtesy of the Artist custom scent inspired by our ongoing project, Rare Earth: Australian Made.
